The Sea Daffodil in my Garden

Image
March came marching round my garden! Daring the winds of March And refusing to wait for the April showers, A wild white sea daffodil dared!! It dared to bud forth  From within the harsh brown tersa rima   Down the corner behind the well.  Oh  Creator Spirit , I fuse my soul within Thy Divine Will,  To praise, adore, bless and glorify Thee... And I place my "I love You's" within its pure milky hue,  And in its linear green leaves.

God is bigger than anything

In the Divine Will Spirituality, God in His immense love for His creation, is returning to us human beings, the original grace He gave to Adam - the gift to operate with His own Will within us! This was made possible by Jesus redeeming us from sin , and reuniting us to God. So now we are able to join our acts to the Divine Acts of the Holy Trinity in the threefold Fiat of Creation, Redemption and Sanctification.    We fuse ourselves with the Divine Will in the redoing and reordering  of the imperfect and wrong human acts of past, present and future.  In her letter #70 , Luisa Piccarreta writes,      "Whatever one does for God is never lost; rather, the seed is formed, which, in sprouting, makes Life be born again, more flourishing, strong and beautiful. Everything you have done, both for yourself and for others, is seeds that you have formed – seeds which make the Life of the Divine Will be born again. However, our cooperat...

The Windows of Heaven are open

Image
The windows of heaven are open, The fire is falling tonight. I've got joy, joy, joy in my heart, Since Jesus made ev'rything right. I gave Him my old dirty garment, He gave me a robe of pure white, T From  the Book of Heaven  Volume 20 December 12, 1926 Lament of Jesus in His Passion, in seeing His garments being divided, and lots drawn for His tunic. How Adam, before sinning, was clothed with light, and as he sinned, he felt the need to cover himself. I was doing my usual acts in the Supreme Fiat, and my adored Jesus came out from within my interior and told me: “My daughter, in My Passion there is a lament of Mine that came out with immense sorrow from the depth of My tormented Heart: ‘They divided My garments and drew lots for My tunic.’ How painful it was for Me to see My garments being divided among My very executioners, and My tunic being gambled away. It was the only object I possessed, given to Me, with so much love, by My sorrowful Mama; and now, they not ...

Saint Brigid of Kildare

Image
Today, February1 is Imbolc or St. Brigid's day , the Gaelic traditional festival. It marks the beginning of Spring. I am reminded of the day Ruth went with her mother in law Naomi to Bethlehem. The time of barley harvest which marked the beginning of Spring. (  The barley harvest in ancient Israel took place in the early spring) So Naomi returned, and with her Ruth, the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, who returned from the land of Moab. And they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.”(Ruth 1:14-22) So, St. Brigid's day is about half way between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. This tradition of Imbolc used to be observed throughout Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. Weaving of Brigid's Crosses is one of the customs practised even in the present day. These are hung over doors and windows as prot...

Grace Darling

Image
This morning some thoughts and musings filled up my mind on the novel To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf...A quote on " annihilation" captured my attention.  “Heaven be praised, no one had heard her cry that ignominious cry, stop pain, stop! She had not obviously taken leave of her senses. No one had seen her step off her strip of board into the waters of annihilation.” — Virginia Woolf         But that took me over to yet another land , a pristine island in Northumberland and the memories of a little voyage into the Farn islands ... Wikipedia says : The Farne Islands are a group of islands off the coast of Northumberland , England. The group has between 15 and 20 islands depending on the level of the tide . [1] They form an archipelago, divided into the Inner Group and the Outer Group.   It was during this boat trip into the mysterious waters surrounded by islands that i first heard of Grace Darling and her adventurous participation in the res...

Reading Kathleen Norris!

“ I regard monks and poets as the best degenerates in America. Both have a finely developed sense of the sacred potential in all things; both value image and symbol over utilitarian purpose or the bottom line; they recognize the transformative power hiding in the simplest things, and it leads them to commit absurd acts: the poem! the prayer! what nonsense! In a culture that excels at creating artificial, tightly controlled environments (shopping malls, amusement parks, chain motels), the art of monks and poets is useless, if not irresponsible, remaining out of reach of commercial manipulation and ideological justification.”  – Kathleen Norris , The Cloister Walk

The Walrus and the Carpenter       "Were walking close at hand; They wept like anything to see       Such quantities of sand: If this were only cleared away,'       They said, it  would  be grand!' If seven maids with seven mops       Swept it for half a year, Do you suppose,' the Walrus said,       That they could get it clear?' I doubt it,' said the Carpenter,       And shed a bitter tear ."
